Last week I wrote about my misadventure in Indian customer support.
I need to apologize to India. I found out this morning that it was Philippine customer support. India, please accept my apology.
Of course, I did have to call again this morning in an effort to print my tax organizers. I should be able to do so tomorrow.
The Nanny State marches forward in Salem, Massachusetts and Phoenix, Arizona. In Salem, the local Board of Health has banned bake sales
unless a permit is obtained and
the food is baked in a city-owned kitchen. No more brownies at the church, etc.
In Maricopa County, Arizona (Phoenix), the county Environmental Health Division is banning bake sales
that last two or more days unless a permit is obtained and that only sells items made in a professional kitchen; one-day sales are allowed, but sellers must have a sign that states the food was prepared in a kitchen that isn't county-regulated. Violators face fines "in the hundreds of dollars."
As the Arizona Republic
said, "The whole notion is as nutty as a sheet of peanut brittle."
