I don't think I mentioned the 2+2 thread where I got mixed up with Russ Hamilton. I don't think we look alike....

But I got mentioned tonight in another 2+2 thread. No, they weren't writing about the biggest poker nits of the world. The thread has to do with changes at the Poker Player's Alliance. Three PPA Board of Directors members, all with ties to the affiliate industry, are moving to "emeritus" status. Two Plus Two will be endorsing the PPA. And three new Board members must be found, and someone has brought up me as a possible replacement. They also brought up Lee Jones, who probably shouldn't become a Board member as he works for an online site (Cake). I haven't been contacted by the PPA, btw. I actually joined the PPA this summer at their booth at the World Series.

Texas Governor Rick Perry on how to run a state:
You keep your taxes low, keep your regulatory climate fair and predictable, a legal system that doesn’t allow for oversuing, and keep a skilled workforce in place. Then get out of the way and let the private sector do what the private sector does best and create jobs and wealth.
Compare that to California, with high taxes, horrible regulations, and a lousy legal climate.

Speaking of a bad tax climate, Michael Ramirez has a cartoon about the huge tax increase you haven't heard about yet.

President Obama on how the Recovery Act (aka the Stimulus or Porkulus) has actually done its job:

That must be why unemployment is increasing....
